Ice Cream Can Be A Health Food.

At mealtimes growing up, I would often lament the cruelty of all so-called “healthy” food tasting like cardboard, lawn clippings, or some tragic combination of the two. 

 

Fast forward a few years to college, where I was experiencing the double-edged sword that was the unlimited dining plan, and I started reconsidering what “healthy" food actually meant. That’s when I fell down the rabbit hole of whole foods, ancestral eating, and nutrient-dense indulgences.

I learned how to cook and make food that tasted delicious while nourishing my body at the same time. My taste buds changed, too: most desserts aren't even appealing to me anymore.

But here’s the thing: I still loved ice cream, even if it left me wanting to nap with stretchy pants on afterwards.

So, instead of giving up ice cream, I decided to reinvent it. That’s how this superfood ice cream was born: ridiculously creamy, made with nourishing ingredients, and packed with flavor—because the best food, even desserts, shouldn’t just taste good; they should be good for you too.
