Hi! We’re Jonathan and Anna, co-founders of Golden Hive Ice Cream. Golden Hive is based on a simple idea: that you shouldn't have to choose between an indulgent dessert and ingredients you feel good about.

 

Jonathan, an engineer and father of three, had always loved ice cream but became increasingly aware of how it made him feel: heavy, sluggish, and needing a nap. He wanted an ice cream that he felt good about serving to his young daughters at home, so he did what any engineer would do: he started experimenting in his kitchen.

 

Anna, with a background in consulting and consumer packaged goods, was a distance runner who cared deeply about how she fueled her body. As someone with a serious sweet tooth, she wanted to find a dessert that worked with her lifestyle, not against it. She found Jonathan through a Slack group and knew immediately that they could build something special together.

 

We came to Golden Hive from different perspectives, but with the same goal: to make ice cream that tastes indulgent without feeling like a compromise. We sweeten with honey instead of refined sugar, use ingredients you could find in your kitchen, and superfoods that actually add something good.

 

The result? Ice cream that tastes amazing and made with ingredients so good Jonathan would give it to his daughters for breakfast (and he does!).
